Chembra Peak located around 8km south of Kalpetta near the town of Meppady. It is the highest peak of the Wayanad Hill range. Situated at an height of 2000 meters above the sea level. Chembra Peak is consider as best trek among in Kerala. Surrounded with the dense trees of tea estates and regarded as starting  point of the trek. This climb continues to 1 km and after onwards reach the watchtower. Watchtower shows up  to view the Chembra peak and its surroundings. After reaching 2 km into the Trek explore the heart - shaped lake name Hridayathadakam. Visitor spend some time near the lake. Continue to the trek will lead you at Chembra Peak. The heart shaped lake is also known as the Cupid Lake. Visit Chembra in the month of September and March. The peak surrounded with tea plantations. It will takes around 40 km away from Wayanad bus stop.
